Our story began with a mutual friend, a matchmaking pastor, and absolutely zero romantic interest.

When a close friend first introduced us, we thought nothing of it. But then our pastor stepped in, determined to bring us together. Despite her sweet intentions, we looked at each other and thought, “Nice person, but lai lai… definitely not the one.” We were so convinced we weren’t each other's type that we skipped the awkward dating pressure entirely and just became really cool friends.

That was our first mistake, and our best one.

Between the endless laughs, late-night text debates, and realising we actually liked each other's weird quirks, God—and our pastor—got the last laugh. Somewhere between being great friends and best friends, the shift happened.

We found our safest harbour, our biggest cheerleader, and our favourite person in the world.
